Board Meetings
Our board meetings occur once a month. Apart from the first meeting after our AGM, all members are invited and encouraged to attend meetings. This is your chance to provide input, volunteer with the club, and get involved. If you would like to attend and/or would like a copy of our board minutes, please email us.
President
Stefa came to mountain biking late in life while looking to bring an edge to her sports. What could be better for combining fear with skill building? Stefa attributes the Dirty Girlz with saving her soul and ensuring she was regularly having a ton of f*&% fun!
Vice-President
A lifelong Mountain Biker wannabe, Mafalda finally took up the sport when a soccer teammate took her on her first ride at The Dump in 2019 and hasn’t looked back. Grateful to have found the Dirty Girlz, she credits the group for helping her improve her confidence and technical skills. Riding on this beautiful west coast island we call home is a lifelong dream come true.
Treasurer
Tora started mountain biking chasing her kids around Hartland. When they started leaving her in the dust she joined the Dirty Girlz and just LOVES the community of awesome ladies of all ages. She has zero sense of direction but hasn’t gotten herself completely lost yet. Her motto is “Bike to drink another beer!”
Secretary
Amanda started mountain biking in the winter of 2018. She can usually be found hosting rides anywhere on the island except Hartland. Her favourite ride locations include Harbourview, Tzouhalem, Maple Mountain, Abyss, South Benson, and Cumberland. When not riding with the group, she’s searching for a new amazing trail to show to our Dirty Girlz riders.

You might hear Stacey, aka the Wizard, before you see her on the trails – she can be loud! Stacey got into mountain biking in 2004, when her then 9-year-old son excitedly stated “Mom you have to try this!” after taking a summer mountain biking camp. She tried it, loved it, and is still riding — albeit slower, thanks to some extra “padding”. Stacey still loves the free mud facials during rainy season, socializing with other ladies and just having a good time.

Heather has been a member of the club for several years. She has always loved mountain biking, but has recently added adventures with her cycle-cross bike to her love of biking. You can often see her out on the trails chasing her daughter as she tackles some of the technical challenges that our local trails offer. Mountain biking is her Happy Place!

Lynne is an often quiet presence, but makes the best sounds when trying something new and exciting on the trails!

Stacey is new to mountain biking yet not new to riding on mountains. Decades ago, she broke into the sport on a rigid bike following her Dad on trails in Alberta. She has now discovered the joys and fears of full-suspension biking. The beauty of the Dirty Girlz is bringing laughter to the grind!
