Our board meetings occur once a month and are posted on our calendar. Apart from the first meeting after our AGM, all members are invited and encouraged to attend meetings. This is your chance to provide input, volunteer with our club, and get involved. If you would like a copy of our board minutes, please email the club.

Hazel had been an avid road and cyclo-cross rider for several years and added mountain biking to her repertoire following an extremely frustrating experience at her most-recent cross fondo. She quickly realized that mountain biking is way more fun! She can be found on the trails alternately saying “I really should have been able to do that” and “wow, it’s so beautiful here!”.

What can we say about Terra?
and truly amazing!
A cycling enthusiast (road and triathlon) from a young age, Margot started mountain biking only a few years ago. As a supportive mom on a borrowed hard-tail, she eagerly tagged behind her son on the trails. While she still can’t keep up with him, she has embraced the love of single-track and looks for every opportunity to learn new skills. The Dirty Girlz Bike Club has helped to broadened Margot’s cycling network of like-minded women across the island. Come join us for a ride!

Deanna’s mountain biking adventures started off spending most weekend chasing her husband and his buddies down the mountains. She longed for some girls to ride with whose only advice was not just to “go faster”. She joined the Dirty Girlz a couple years ago and has noticed a dramatic improvement in her skills and confidence both on technical uphill and downhill. She loves new challenges and conquering something new on every ride.
Helen likes bikes – all kind of bikes.
She started riding in Scotland where she was riding trail centers and big mountain routes, snacking on haribo and haggis along the way. She decided the world of work was a bit inconvenient so took a year off to ride bikes. She rode solo and unsupported from Saigon (South Vietnam) to Singapore and then moved to France to ride in Morzine, the downhill mecca of Europe for 4 months.
Helen moved to Canada five years ago as she’d heard there was some good biking, and since then has been discovering the fantastic riding here. Most weekends she’ll be on her bike, trying to find new trails, playing on old favourites and probably getting pretty lost in the process. Any rumours of “Helen Hell-rides” are completely exaggerated and misrepresented.
Sharon’s boyfriend’s passion for mountain biking drew Sharon to the Dirty Girlz Bike Club in 2011, as she wanted to find some females interested in the sport. She soon became hooked on the sport, loving the thrill of achieving the latest rock face or challenge of the climb. She will be forever grateful to the Dirty Girlz beginner rides, which are a great place to meet similar minded women and practice those essential skills. Sharon can be seen weeknights and weekends at Hartland. Look out for her and say “hi”.
